I love 1Cover - have used it for every overseas trip I've been on in the last 10 years and recommend it to all my friends and family. Although I haven't personally had to claim, my grandmother fell ill on holiday in Hawaii and they went above and beyond. After sorting all her medical expenses, once she returned home they even called a few times to see if she was feeling better!

We have used 1Cover twice now for our overseas trips. Last year we went to USA and needed travel insurance to cover us on a motor cycle over 250cc and after trying several other insurance companies, 1Cover were the only one to cover us. Both my husband and I have pre medical and we answered the questions online and then they sent the papers through so we could sign them. This year we went to Rarotonga and once again the procedure and price was the cheapest.. I would give this company 5 stars for price, easy to deal with and customer service was top rate. I would recommend 1Cover to anyone...

Found purchasing insurance quick and easy; staff were extremely helpful, over the phone, in giving me quotes for extras I might've needed on my recent overseas trip.
Didn't require a claim so have no idea of that side of the insurance company.

Our son, Harley, died suddenly while my wife and i were in Slovenia, at the start of a month long holiday. Harley was in Phuket at the time of his death, which complicated matters. 1Cover could not have been more helpful or understanding. They have enabled us to go through this whole process with minimum stress. We have had extraordinary help from everyone in the claims team whenever we have had to phone or email. 1Cover met our insurance needs for UK/Europe. Covered motorbikes which was good. (Not used though, but reassuring to have it). Far better prices for cover for minor controlled asthma than my previous regular travel insurance company hence the switch. When overseas I called to query a change. Fast and excellent service. Thankfully no need for any claims.

Have used these guys frequently, and fortunately never had a claim. However my experience was somewhat soured recently, when we were due to travel to Bali.
When I called to enquire re cover, was informed in no uncertain terms that we would not be covered due to volcano activity for any delays etc, even though I had purchased back in February. When asked why was advised that we should have known and that it was on their website. Interesting that I now note it is obvious, under travel alerts, "Mount Agung,Bali". At the time I purchased, no sign of that, yes maybe if I had gone looking on the site, I might have found it. Interesting that after ringing, and making my feelings very clear, it is now obvious. I believe that when anyone applying for a destination, they should be told up front, if there are exclusions for that destination, it wouldn't be difficult!
Luckily, no disruptions, but not happy with the lack of clarity as to extent of cover!
The industry I work in, we have to be very clear about hidden issues not obvious to inexperienced persons, perhaps 1Cover, and the industry in general might like to consider similar?
