1Cover provides cover for winter sports activities, including skiing and snowboarding (Heli-skiing is also available at an additional cost). 1Cover’s Winter Sports Insurance policy provides cover for activities and events on and off piste within the resort boundaries.

 

  • You can get our specialist ski and snowboarding cover for both domestic and international plans.

  • Hurt yourself on the slopes? We provide cover for emergency evacuation from the ski slopes to the nearest hospital for treatment.

  • Snow ski equipment hire is also covered, so if something happens to your own you don't lose out on time on the slopes.

  • Cover is also provided for prepaid ski pass, ski hire and ski lessons plus cover for your own snow gear and ski equipment.

  • We cover extra travel and accommodation expenses if your journey is delayed for more than 12 hours because of an avalanche or bad weather.

  • Am I Covered For Heliskiing?
  • You may purchase additional coverage at a premium for claims that may arise from you heliskiing on a single journey heliskiing adventure. You may purchase this additional option after your policy commences, however this additional option must be purchased at least 24 hours before you commence heliskiing. A $500 Excess applies if you purchase this additional option and your claim Arises due to your participation in heliskiing as mentioned above. Terms and conditions, limits and exclusions apply. Please refer to the PDS for further information.

  • Am I Covered For Off-Piste Skiing & Snowboarding?
  • Yes we provide cover for off-piste skiing and snowboarding as long as it is within a short distance from designated areas of ski resort boundaries on groomed terrain that are open and patrolled by the ski resort.

  • Do Your Policies Provide Cover For Backcountry?
  • The risk here is too big so we don't cover Backcountry Skiing - skiing in a sparsely inhabited rural region over ungroomed and unmarked slopes.

  • Am I Covered For Rental Ski Equipment Hire Excess?
  • Rental Ski Equipment Hire Excess can be covered at an additional premium. This covers the excess on snow ski equipment hire insurance policy. Please call our team for details.

  • Can I Purchase An Annual Ski & Snowboarding Insurance Policy?
  • Yes of course. We provide both single and annual specialist winter sports cover which you can use for an unlimited number of Journeys. Annual Ski and Snowboarding Insurance Policies can be purchased for either worldwide or domestic trips. The maximum period of cover for any one Journey cannot exceed 21 days

  • What Happens If I Come Home Early?
  • Your policy covers the full duration of your trip. There are no refunds should you come home earlier than planned.
