Love to travel? An Annual Travel Insurance covers for an unlimited number of international or domestic trips in a 12 month period.
Take as many trips as you want within a 12 month period. See Policy Wording for details.
Plans can change over a year and you may have to cancel or switch things around. Our annual policy offers cover for cancellation fees and lost deposits.
Depending on how often you travel, an annual policy may work out cheaper than buying single travel insurance per trip.
Annual policies are available for both overseas and domestic trips.
Frequent traveller 21 days: Each individual trip you take under your policy will need to be under 21 days long.
Frequent traveller 45 days: Each individual trip you take under your policy will need to be under 45 days long (1.5 months)
Frequent traveller 90 days: Each individual trip you take under your annual policy will need to be under 90 days long (almost 3 months)
**If your trip is longer than any of the above, i.e 21, 45, 90 days, then you'll need to buy a single-trip policy.
Annual policies aren't designed for long-term travel, but provide you with cover for multiple short trips over the course of a year.
Yes, these policies are only available for customers under the age of 64. Don’t worry if you are 64 and over, we can still cover you on a single-trip basis on a Comprehensive policy.
Yes, of course. A Frequent Traveller policy covers you and the members of your family or even friends who go with you on your journey and are listed as covered on your Certificate of Insurance. You must be travelling together for at least 75% of all trips taken throughout the year for the policy to be valid.
One of the benefits of having a Frequent Traveller policy is that you do not have to contact us each time you travel within the dates that your policy covers. Even though you don’t need to tell us, we advise that you keep track of bookings or receipts in case anything happens and you need to claim.
Your policy covers the full duration of your trip. There are no refunds should you come home earlier than planned.
You can only purchase an a Frequent Traveller policy 30 days before your first trip.
With 1Cover’s annual Frequent Traveller policies, some of the things that might suit business travellers are:
- luggage and personal effects cover. We provide this benefit automatically automatically, plus you can increase specific coverage for high value business equipment, such as laptops, up to the value of $5,000. Check the Policy Wording for details.
- cancellation and lost deposits. This is provided in case you have to cancel your plans due to unforeseen circumstances outside of your control. We also cover Alternative Travel Expenses. This means if you encounter transport delays, you may have provision to claim if you need to reach important events such as conferences or meetings.
With a Frequent Traveller Policy you don't need to tell us when you're travelling, or where you’re going and you don't need to book your insurance every time you take a trip.
Please note, if your trip is longer than what you stipulate initially (i.e 21, 45, 90 days), then you will need to buy another policy to cover that trip.
