While i was away in Bali my I phone was accidentally kicked into a pond at a restaurant I was dining at. The phone is irreparable. I found that the phone is not covered for water damage. I was unaware of this exclusion. I would not go with this insurer again because of this. It has cost me over 2,000 to replace my phone. As these devices are essential for my day to day life I would want to know that it is covered while traveling. Very dissapointed.

We had reached almost completed bookings for one trip and some bookings for another later in the year when we discovered that my wife had developed terminal lung cancer and all bookings had to be cancelled.We were most impressed by the sympathetic and courteous treatment we received from 1Cover when we made a claim for the residual non refundable amounts from the bookings and the prompt payment of the full claim.

I took out travel insurance for a trip to USA. When my plans had to change at short notice, due to the serious illness of my mother in the USA, I was told that none of the additional charges for changing my travel would be covered because my mother didn't reside in NZ. Pointless, really.

The start of the claim process is the worst bit. I was in hospital and the doctor said I needed this operation. I got 1Cover on the phone and they went through the process, but they tell you they are going to get your medical records from your GP and let you know. That's when you hit panic mode! Thinking did I tell them everything, did I miss something, what if they don't approve this, what will i do. Quite stressful actually. Fortunately they got on to it quickly and had my approval in a short time, from there on everything went very smoothly and I was extremely relieved to have 1Cover! I will certainly use them next time.

Within the same day of making the claims, the claims were settled. The assessment was very fair and without any followup required. Our word was accepted without question. This experience served as a reminder that keeping records of ownership of personal property is very important.

I can't speak highly enough of my recent claim experience with 1Cover Travel Insurance. It was quick and easy to make the claim on line. Within a few days my claim had been processed and the outcome decision emailed to me. Staff were very friendly, helpful and made sure that I had all questions answered to my satisfaction. I highly recommend 1Cover Travel Insurance. I felt safe dealing with them and totally trust them. 5-star plus customer service experience for me dealing with them.

I will not use your company again, online claim form too complicated. To replace my glasses, i had to send a copy of receipt, airline ticket, receipt of glasses that had faded unable to copy all on line which was difficult for me to do. I even rang from Australia and their customer service advised me that it would be easy to do the claim at home - untrue. I am 75 years old and have basic computer skills, so i will just have to buy a new pair (i even went to a jeweler and they said they couldn't fix the arm.) And forget about saving some of the cost of new glasses.

we had a quote with our tickets, it wasn't a bad price I thought for two adults. But 1Cover came up on my FB feed and I thought I would compare. Identical levels of cover (only I could opt for a lower excess) and the price was half the quote from our agent. It was a no brainer, online reviews supported 1cover as a great option.
