In the past I have had claims & they were paid promptly. On my most recent trip my stay was extended by one day & I called !cover to extend my policy for a mere $8.50Imagine my relief when due to fog my flight departing Sydney was delayed for hours meaning I would miss a connecting flight. It was very reassuring to know any missed flights, hotel accommodation, meals, taxis, would be fully covered by the extended policy. A fellow traveler was not so lucky having no travel insurance was left with additional expenses of $900

I was drawn to purchase 1Cover because from the website and from my emailed enquiries the company clearly understood my need - specifically that I had extended my travel and there was a period not covered by insurance. 1Cover make it simple to purchase cover when already overseas and though I have not researched other insurers, I believe the cost to be reasonable. I received clearly explained responses to my emailed enquiries - which put my mind at rest regarding what was covered by the policy.

It took less than 10mins to get travel insurance with 1 Cover online and for our family it was cheaper than any other travel insurance by $50 plus.
I rang the 0800 number as I had a query and the person I spoke to was helpful and friendly. I had a great experience and would use 1 Cover again .

Organising this was quick and efficient.
Cover included excess for car hire, so that saved us quite a lot of money.
My only complaint is that I had to pay extra for cover for breast cancer that I had 9 years ago. There is no sign of it now, so surely I should have been able to exclude it.

I travelled recently with my daughter and her young children to Europe. When we got stuck in Singapore for a week because the child was too sick to fly all the way to Europe, my 1 Cover insurance covered my costs even though all the receipts were in my daughter’s name and she was covered with a different insurer!

On two different trips this year we have had to make claims on our travel insurance. 1Cover have been absolutely awesome, excellent customer service, prompt replies and no issues with the claims being accepted. Money in our account within 5 days. Definitely the best travel insurance we have ever had and at a reasonable price. Can't recommend them enough
