Credit card fraud while travelling is a regular occurrence. We cover you in certain situations where your bank or issuing company might not. 

What's Covered?
  • Replacement Costs. Cover is provided for the replacement costs (including communication costs) for your credit cards which are lost or stolen from you during your overseas journey.
  • Monetary Loss. Cover is provided for the monetary loss resulting from the fraudulent use of your credit card  following the loss or theft of the card while on holidays.

what's not covered?
  • Credit card incidents covered by a bank or issuing company. Cover is only provided for those amounts not covered by any guarantee provider (bank or issuing company).

  • Credit card fraud that you don't tell us about. Make sure you report the incident. We may not pay if you do not report the theft within 24 hours to the police and to the issuing bank or company in accordance with the conditions under which the cards were issued.

  • Fraud without any written statement. We may not pay if you cannot provide us with a written statement from the police and the issuing bank or company confirming the fraudulent use of your credit card.

Credit Card Fraud FAQs

  • Can I claim direct through you instead of going through my bank?
  • We provide this cover only if it is not resolved by your credit card provider. 

  • What documentation would I need to provide in the case of credit card fraud?
  • You need to report the activity within 24 hours to the issuing bank or the police. Make sure that you keep a hold of any written correspondence and reference numbers.
