It’s on again! Entries are now open for The 1 Thing Comedy Competition. So if you're a budding comedian, don’t miss your chance for a crack at 10K in cold hard cash. Plus, you could gain the kind of exposure that money can’t buy. 

Let’s face it. Travel insurance can be pretty serious business. But here at 1Cover, we like to lighten things up by encouraging travellers to share hilarious stories about their holiday mishaps. 

That’s why we’ve brought back our successful comedy competition for the second year running. Once again, we’re stumping up some serious moolah, and we’re also partnering with the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. 

Interested in entering? All you need to do is create your funniest video skit, song, or story that riffs on “The one thing you regret about that holiday”.

Judging this year's competition is a panel of comedy all-stars and industry insiders including:​
 

• Comedian and actor, Michael Hing, who returns for his second stint as a competition judge. Michael’s no stranger to performing sold-out shows on the stand-up circuit. Then there’s his regular appearances on radio (Triple J) and TV including The Feed (SBS) and The Other Guy (STAN). Bottom line ... Michael knows what champagne comedy is all about!
• Award-winning performer and writer Bridie Connell. You may have seen Bridie on Tonightly with Tom Ballard (ABC) and True Story with Hamish & Andy (Nine Network). Did we mention she won the 2018 ARIA Award for Best Comedy Release?
• Associate Director of TV & Content for the Melbourne Comedy Festival, Claire Hammond. If there’s one thing Claire knows, it’s comedy! And with 19 years in the business, she’s got a special knack for spotting fresh new talent.
• 1Cover’s Managing Director, Eddie Feltham. After 20 years in the insurance biz, Eddie needs all the LOLs he can get!​
