What if I knew a family member was sick before I purchase my policy? 

Unfortunately we are not able to provide cancellation cover if you are aware of a reason that might cause the journey to be cancelled or disrupted at the time of purchase. 

If you purchase travel insurance then a family member becomes unwell and you are unable to travel you may have provision to claim for this.
